economicon

my current bank balance is more money than i've ever had in my life. even if i deducted my remaining debt (to the bank of mom and dad), i would still be in the black. this feeling is curious.

since september, i have paid off both my credit card and line of credit - the only money i owe on paper - and i'm down to $5k to my parents, which will be paid by the end of the summer. this means that in a single academic year, i have reduced my debt to zero, and at the age of 32 will owe nothing. i will also own nothing (of value to anyone but myself), but i'm alright with that.

solvency is the only thing that has ever made me feel like a grownup.
