there is a fantastic new alternavideostore called schlockbuster
228 lonsdale avenue (just up from the sea bus) in north vancouver
go there. half the store is devoted to horror films, which are subdivided into sections for serial killers, the living dead, and vampires (among others). stock includes films such as kichiku and la bête - both of which were featured at past cinemuerte festivals - as well as mainstream goodies and hordes of bad sci-fi. good hours, better prices, and the decor includes mediaeval weaponry and an electric chair.

I never get out to North Van. Poor car-less East Van-er.
